Mostly these were natural-scientific books, which, as humanitaria, is contraindicated. But there were several historical.

I succumbed to universal excitement and first bought a couple about the “pseudo-nauka” and the “unknown story of our ancestors”.

And in the late afternoon, I decided to take two volumes of Drobyshevsky “Given the link”, which he, if he heard correctly, wrote in the subway, but this is not definitely. I spilled them, enjoyed the view of the Aurora from the window and headed towards the hall, where the preparations were still boiling, and the people were just starting to sit down.

Opening the forum, Alexander Sokolov noted: “Today there will be topics that you were waiting and afraid: the worldwide flood (the myth of the flood allegedly 200 years ago), flat land, moon scam, great Tartaria”. During the day, ten scientists will perform on the forum-candidates of historical sciences, physical and mathematical sciences, biological sciences and others ”.
“People want to know where we come from, want to know about the language, about their past, about the universe … and how the society learns about the achievements of scientists? The popularization of science is not a whim, but the most important intangible function and the obligation of the scientific community in relation to humanity. If scientists do not share their knowledge with society, why society finances them?”, – said Sokolov in the introductory word.

But the next report raised many questions. It all began for health with a seemingly recognition of the existence of the “scientific truth” and was contrasted by the “opinion of the amateur”.

The first question from the hall was asked by Panchin with a hint that if the homeopaths occupy the Ministry of Health and Science, then their theory will become correct. To which Sergeyev again noticed that there was no truth, but there is only “competition of ideas”. The questions from the hall ended on this, and the speaker suggested that the hall vote for the best question. Oleg Sokolov won by a noticeable margin.

After such a tense discussion, a break was needed and it followed exactly on the schedule.

The evening has already come, but people did not become smaller. Let me remind you that the event went for more than 8 hours. Many took pictures and took autographs from the speakers or listened to Drobyshevsky about the skull, and someone was refueling coffee. Just at that moment I bought his books and received an autograph. Well, the last two reports were waiting for us ahead – one of the most important on the form on the most burning topics, but about everything in order.
